Goodbye Surrey? Does anyone care about our heritage
An evening event at the Menuhin Hall, Stoke D'Abernon, Surrey with the chance to picnic in the grounds beforehand. The lecture will be given by Dr Simon Thurley - writer, broadcaster and formerly Curator of the Historic Royal Palaces and Director of the Museum of London. Dr Thurley is now the Government's principal advisor on the historic environment in England and a leading architectural historian. Dr Thurley will speak about the constant threat to the heritage of Surrey, reminding us of the riches we have inherited and and why we need to protect what remains.
