home and its meaning a stage further.
Ruin - inside Shoreham Cement Works
Projected onto a large screen in the intimate atmosphere of Chatfields, Paul Thomas presents the complete collection of his photographs taken inside the cavernous interiors of Shoreham Cement Works. He describes the processes he went through to create these fascinating and compelling images - some of them photographed over a long exposure in near-darkness. The evening also features readings of some of Mark Hewitt's evocative writings, which capture different aspects of the site's forbidding presence. An informal event with opportunities for questions, discussion and conversation.
