The exhibition and Lego competition will take place in the indoor area at Churchill Square; and the Spray Can Art workshops be held in the piazza, opposite H&M. The celebration event will be in the Brighton offices of Conran & Partners.
What do architects do?
On 7 and 14 June, young people are invited to take part in Spray Can Art Workshops led by Jode of CanControl Team, a locally-based arts youth worker.
CanControl's workshops aim to illustrate that spray can art is not just about scribbling your name on public walls, and highlight the fact that spray can art is now an established art form with a rich history and tradition stretching back over the last 30 years. Jode will encourage participants to develop artworks that reflect the shapes and forms of the buildings and streetscape in the surrounding area, or other Brighton landmarks.
The LEGO Designs and the Spray Can Artwork will be photographed and displayed; and participants will be invited to attend the celebratory event on 25th June at Conran & Partners, where prizes will be awarded to the best designs.
